Corner kitty litter box ReviewAdded the litter and moved it around for testing and I was surprised it didn't feel unsteady. The handle is decent quality and the box keeps its shape. No issues with flimsy lock, but its not hard to lock either. Unless someone is overloading it with litter then there shouldn't be an issue. The litter scoop can hang on the side, but I'll just have it as a backup. Good size for it, but I have a metal one that's slightly bigger that I'm accustomed to using and it still works fine. The door opens easy and fluid, and when no cat is inside then it hangs slightly on the inside so there is a gap where you see the kitty litter. I suppose this is to ensure the cat can see there is something on the other side. I thought this would cause issues with the smell escaping too much, but it doesn't seem to matter. It does well containing any scents. Unless I notice the sound of them scratching the litter, I don't even know when its being used. Given this is also my office space, this is very much welcomed improvement over the previous box with no door. So far any excess litter has been caught by the litter mat so I'm thrilled about that as well.We have a medium size cat and 2 small growing kittens that are a couple months old, all of them can get in and out no issues. If we had a large cat then I'd probably get the regular large/extra large square box instead of the corner box.If you have issues with cats getting used to it, then I suggest putting it next to the other box both with no lids on first to get them used to using it. Then add the lid to the corner box with no door, then remove the other box, then add the swing door. Just like people, some cats/animals adjust quickly and some are resistant to change so getting them used to it slowly until its in the state you want it in. No different than slowly introducing 2 cats or introducing a cat and dog to each other. You can just put them together or you can use introducing tactics to get things to go smoothly. I put the boxes next to each other with the door up on the new one. Then when I noticed they used the new one, I put the door down and then removed the other box later that day/next day.I have tried pretty much every kind of litter box. Pan styles. Rolling “self-emptying” kinds. Pricey ones that claim to wash themselves. And a gigantic robot litter box that rotated to dump waste into a drawer. Out of all of them, I like this one best.First, it’s easy to clean. We line it, dump in a bag of clumping litter, and pop the clear lid thing back on. (Wish that fit better or this would get 5 stars for sure. It’s a 4.5 in my book for that reason.)Scooping is a breeze: unhook the included scoop from the side of the lid, dig for “treasure” and toss it in your litter genie or whatever you use.The lid provides my cat with a sense of privacy, so he no longer jumps like mad out of the box after doing his business. And it’s high enough to contain any dust he kicks up covering his stuff.Plus, it looks good. Not bulky. Not garish. It just kind of fades into the background for everyone but the cat.I got the large grey rectangular one. It's good and does great with holding in the smell. Litter doesn't stick to the bottom. My only complaint is that it only has two clips that attach the top to the bottom. There is one on the right and left side. When the litter box is on the floor, the top easily wiggles and I wouldn't feel comfortable picking it up by the handle with litter in it. It definitely needs clips on the back and one of each side of the entrance area. Other than that. It's fineWe really like this litter box for our cats. All of them have used it and have been able to maneuver in it with no issues. The only issue we have had with the box is that the cats were a bit rough while “covering” their poo and cracked the top edge of the lid/top where the litter scoop can hang. We have since gotten some clear gorilla brand tape and fixed it.Other than that, it’s been great! I know there are a lot of reviews saying the lid does t stay on but we’ve had no problems with that.It is smaller than my older litter box but the cat is peeing inside and not outside the box because of the sides. So sometime the pee does get under the two pieces the top and bottom but I just lift the top piece off and wipe it. The cat' s butt does not hang out and pee outside anymore because of the sides. So far this is working out! Just wish it was a bit bigger, ok not a bit bigger several inches bigger because I have adult cats that are large. My cat had this nasty habit of not squatting down far enough to pee in the litter, and it would unsteady spray outside of the box onto the floor. I didn’t want to use a covered box because I didn’t like the idea of having to take the lid off several times a week to clean it. This box is the perfect compromise. The walls are high enough the pee doesn’t fly out of the box, they’re easy to wipe off, and I can still clean the litter box without having to take off the sides. Highly recommend!Bought 4 of these. All arrived undamaged. Looks like good quality material and large enough for larger cats. Could only get 3 of the 4 shields locked on. The bottoms of these arent flat and the front corners have an odd little knock in them which makes them harder to clean as the little scoop cant get into those spots. Scoops that come with then are really small. Beuna opción pero no apta para gatitos que pesen más de 4 kilos o seas de talla grande.I would not recommend buying this at all. The top is so flimsy and thin, and it does not have a clip, so the front piece that tips up falls off when the cat tries to go through the little flap (cat door). When changing the cat litter, it is very difficult because the bottom is full of grooves and bumps and corners where litter and clumps get stuck in.I do not like this one bit. Did they not do any QA testing before they made the product?I don't think the designer ever had a cat in their life, because if they did they would know that when you want to scoop the cat litter on the bottom it should be flat, or as flat as possible. Having bumps and grooves is just a horrible design.Save your money and buy something else because this is not worth any amount of money that it would sell for. I am not happy with this product, and it's not like I can send it back now that it's been used. I guess I'm SOL.The shape and size are good, it's a good depth, but for some reason my cats hate it. One refuses to use it at all, and the other sticks her bum outside the door and goes on the floor (not sure if she's stupid or vengeful). Would have returned it if I could have, but who sends back a used litter tray?!I bought this litter box for my two mini lop rabbits and I'm super satisfied with it. They both fit inside fine and I have room to stuff hay in it as well. My room doesn't smell as bad now that the litter is hooded and has a door. The door took a day to figure out but now they use it with total ease. I also bought jumbo litter box bags (I wish I bought large instead though, jumbo leaves a lot of extra room) so I could get rid of the litter quickly, super easy now to clean. No regrets! Definitely recommend for other bunny owners :)
